A FEW WORDS ABOUT US

The International Forwarders Association of Greece (U.T.I.G.) established in 1932.
From the establishment up today its main purposes are:
the study, projection and support of the subjects concerning the freight forwarding industry, the development of the national and International transportation through the Greek Freight Forwarding companies, in collaboration with our partners abroad, in order to support the trade and our National Economy, the representation of the Freight Forwarding industry especially in the State and the Public organizations in Greece and abroad, the participation in European and International committees, councils, conferences relative with the aims of our Association.The mate realization of these objectives were the compass, always, for the elected members of the Board of Directors.

In 1952 our Association became an ordinary FIATA's member (FEDERATION INTERNATIONAL DES ASSOCIATION DE TRANSITAIRES ET ASSIMILES), which is the worldwide organization for the freight forwarding companies. The legal representative of FIATA's in Greece is our Association. FIATA is the permanent councellor, for the transport sector, in the United Nations.

In 1990, our Association was one of the founding members of the "National Transport Council" which established by Greek Ministry of Transports. The proper members of the Board of Directors participate in the international congress and forum in order to attend the evolution in the freight forwarding industry, as well as to announce the Greek prospects worldwide.
